There was more happening at the launch of the 2026 Ghanaian Banker than the unveiling of a new publication.
At Alisa Hotel on 21 August, bank executives, regulators, CIB Ghana council members and alumni of the Chartered Banker Executive Leadership programme gathered around a shared question: where is banking headed, and what will the profession require from its people?
The occasion was CBEL Connect, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (CIB Ghana), and the new edition of The Ghanaian Banker gave that conversation something tangible to take away.
The magazine brings together perspectives on the future of banking, leadership, profitability with purpose, economic outlooks and the performance of banks. It also looks inward, documenting CIB Ghana’s history and its work in professional development, financial literacy and the preparation of trusted banking professionals.

That breadth mattered because the publication was not presented simply as a magazine for bankers. CIB Ghana Chief Executive Officer Robert Dzato explained that the edition was intended to speak to bankers, regulators and the wider public.
Yadaba Communications supported the event’s communication through media relations and event publicity, helping create visibility around the launch and the issues being discussed. For a publication built around professional knowledge and industry dialogue, getting the story beyond the room was an important part of the assignment.

One point from the evening stayed particularly relevant: innovation alone cannot sustain confidence in banking. As Bank of Ghana Second Deputy Governor Matilda Asante-Asiedu observed, trust still depends on integrity, professionalism and responsible conduct at every level of an institution.
That is perhaps the broader lesson for organisations launching publications, hosting conferences or bringing stakeholders together. The event itself is only one part of the communication. What people understand, discuss and remember afterwards matters just as much.
Every important event deserves communication that connects with the right audience. If you’re planning a conference, campaign, corporate event or stakeholder engagement, Yadaba Communications is ready to help you tell your story.

A new publication can be more than something people read. It can give an industry a reason to pause, exchange ideas and look ahead.
That was the spirit behind CIB Ghana’s launch of the 2026 Ghanaian Banker at CBEL Connect.
