OmniBSIC Bank partnered with CSIR-IIR and Ocean Tribe Foundation to launch the ‘Recovering Plastics for Industry and Sustainable Environment’ project. The initiative aims to reduce plastic waste across five senior high schools in Accra while creating valuable industrial resources for local manufacturers.
The participating schools generate thousands of plastic waste materials daily, with much of it ending up in the environment. The project needed a strong communications strategy that would effectively introduce the initiative, engage stakeholders, attract media attention, and position the programme as a practical solution to both environmental and industrial challenges.
Yadaba Communications provided strategic communications support for the project launch by:
• Developing and refining key messaging.
• Supporting media engagement and publicity efforts.
• Crafting compelling narratives around the initiative’s impact.
• Helping communicate the partnership’s sustainability goals to stakeholders and the public.
• Amplifying awareness of the project’s environmental and educational benefits.
The launch successfully brought together leaders from the banking, research, education, and environmental sectors around a shared goal of sustainability.
Key outcomes included:
• Increased visibility for the project and its objectives.
• Strong stakeholder awareness and engagement.
• Enhanced public understanding of plastic recovery and recycling.
• Promotion of environmental responsibility among students.
• Greater attention to Ghana’s circular economy agenda.
The initiative demonstrates how collaboration between business, research institutions, and environmental organisations can create practical solutions for national challenges. By supporting clear and impactful communication, Yadaba Communications helped ensure that the project’s purpose, benefits, and long-term vision reached the right audiences.
Every impactful project deserves strategic communication that drives awareness, engagement, and results.
